Colour challenge - Stampin' Up! in colours

Hi all

This week's challenge is a colour challenge using some of the gorgeous Stampin' Up! in colours.

I decided to create a stamped background using these colours including some 'stamping off' to vary the intensity of the ink.

My entry

Blackberry bliss is such a beautiful colour, I just had to make it the main feature of this card.

Sketch challenge time! Spring is coming....

Hi all

It's time to bring you my offering for this week's challenge again!

Challenge #111 Sketch challenge

It's really simple but it scared me a bit, I'm not too proud to admit that despite my approx 15 years of paper crafting experience! It's not that it's technically difficult, just out of my comfort zone.

This is my interpretation, made from a 5x5" card base.

I've added some elements but it's a great sketch if you're just starting out and have a limited amount of crafting stash.

Weekly Deals - 3 September 2014

Hello all

The school holidays are over and it's a great time to get back in the craft room!

As well as sharing this weeks deals I'm also going to share a project I made to show you how to use some of the products in this weeks selection.

(sorry about blurry pic, click on image to take you to deals)

As you can see we have a selection of re-inkers and our simply pressed clay on offer. These products are really fun and easy to use, let me show you.

Take a small piece of the simply pressed clay.

The clay comes in white so simply add your re-inker to match your project. I'm using Melon Mambo as I don't have any of the colours in the weekly deals (yet!)

You will get messy! It's a good idea to wear disposable gloves and make sure you protect your work area. Once the re-inker is on your clay, work it in until you have a good even colour.

You will receive two silicone molds with the simply pressed clay enabling you to make buttons and flowers. Each mold has 3 designs and I've chosen the flowers to show you.

Press your clay into the mold

Pop your flowers out of the mold and leave to air-dry.

I added some bling  before they dried :)

And made this tag using the flowers

If you have any quetions let me know! Thanks for stopping by.

Flower Shop

I was very happy to take delivery of  the new Flower Shop Bundle and couldn't wait to play!

It's so lovely and cheery, I'm sure I'll find a lot of use for it. Versatility is always key when I buy a stamp set.

This is a quick project I made with it:

Stampin' Up! supplies used

Flower Shop stamp set
Sweet Essentials Stamp Set (There is 25% off this set until 31st July)
Pansy Punch
Large Oval Punch
Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse & Summer Starfruit Classic Stampin' Pad
Gumball Green, Whisper White & Sahara Sand A4 Cardstock
Stamping Sponges

One thing I would like to make you aware of is that the stamp must be lined up correctly to work with the pansy punch. This is hard to explain but hopefully you'll find this video here as easy to follow as I did!
