Friendship Easel using Stampin' Up!

Hi all

I thought I'd share something a little different today!  I do love making 3D projects, they're always fun to give as gifts or use as home decor.

When I saw the Playful Palette stamp set in the new catalogue I knew it would be perfect for more than just cards.

I bought a mini easel a while back with the typical crafters mind set of 'I'm sure I can do something with that' and this stamp set was just the thing!

I stamped directly onto the canvas with Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo then added some gold wind of Stella by 'flicking' it onto the project.

The Sentiment and frame were stamped onto Whisper White card and cut out using the fantastic new Layering Squares framelits.

Thanks for stopping by!

Don't forget Dad! - Cool Stampin' Up! technique card for Father's Day

Hi all

Father's Day is only 10 days away - I know!

For me June is always super fun with lots of cards to make including my Son and Dad in close succession plus Father's day of course.

I have a fun technique to share today using the Woodland Textured embossing folder and the fabulous Guy Greetings stamp set which is just perfect for lots of occasions.

You'll need your Big Shot for this one.

Open your embossing on the opposite side to the Sizzix mark as shown.

I used a Whisper White card base.
Sponge the lower half with Pear Pizzazz for grass and the top with Pool Party for sky.

Ink your car stamp using Memento and stamp twice. Have your Big Shot close by so you can place your card in the folder and run it through the machine before the image has a chance to start drying.

Go over the car with a Basic Gray marker to add some more definition to the lines and also add some to the lines on the trees.
Using your ink pads as a palette (with the ink pad closed squeeze the case and you have some ink in the lid when you open it up) Give each car a colour wash with an aqua painter. I thought Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy looked very smart.

Do ask if you have any questions regarding this technique or let me know what you think, I love hearing from you :)

I hope you give this fun technique a try.

Happy Home

Hi all

I'm bidding a fond farewell to one of my favourite stamp sets, Happy Home, with today's project. It's retiring at the end of the month but it's still available in my online store both as a stamp set on it's own or as a bundle price with the Hearth and Home framelits. You'll save 15% on the total price if you purchase the bundle.

I made a birthday card for a male friend, you could easily make it more feminine by adding some ribbon or flowers.

The banner shape is a sneak peek :) it's coming very soon! The new catalogue launches 1 June and I'll be adding the link on here but if you'd like me to send you a paper copy just let me know and I'll mail one out to you.

Background technique -hello baby

Hi all

I have a technique card for you today. It uses clear blocks (that you cling your stamps to) and markers and is lots of fun!

I chose Rose Red and Melon Mambo and scribbled directly onto the block.

Then spritzed with water

Use the block to stamp directly onto your card and leave for around 20 seconds to allow the ink to soak in and you'll have a fab background!

I used the Something for Baby bundle for the vest and flower and 'hello baby' is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set, I've listed everything at the bottom but do let me know if I can help with anything.
I hope you give this fun technique a try too!

Hi all

Global Design Project #033 | Colour Challenge

Time for a challenge! I was really excited to see the colours chosen for the challenge on Global Design Project this week and couldn't resist joining in.

It's such a sophisticated combination. These colours would suit male and female projects and any occasion so of you're just starting out on a stamping journey these would be great to add to your collection.

I used the Bloomin' Love bundle in my project which you'll actually find in the Stampin' Up! retiring section. The good news is that it's not actually retiring (phew!) it's the bundle price that's retiring and you can currently enjoy 15% off the stamp set and coordinating die set when purchased together.

Stampin' Up! #Onstage2016 swaps, fun and more!

Hi all

I had a fantastic time last weekend at the Stampin' Up! Onstage event. It's so much fun seeing my Stampin' Up! family and all the new goodies coming your way in the 2016-2017 annual catalogue. Can I just say a very BIG YUM!!! You are going to love it!!!

First order of the day is always swaps. Here's mine:

To make the box cut card at 21x12cm

Use the gift bag punch board lining your card up at the start line. The final tiny score you can see is made at the side line and this is where you'll apply your adhesive. I also snipped off the tiny tab you get at the top.
If you've been quick and checked out the retired list posted on Monday you'll have noticed some of the items I've used are now retired. I'll post the recipe at the bottom of this post and you may just be lucky to grab what you need.

You can see the full retired list here:

Me and my new BFF! :)

The lovely swaps I received

We're doing it all again in November and if you'd like the opportunity to come along then you can join my team or find out more by clicking the 'join the fun' tab at the top of the page.

Foam Party!

Hi all

At the March Class we used a technique using shaving foam and everyone had a great time!

I thought I'd share the technique details so that you can have a go too.

You'll need a can of shaving foam (not gel) and some Stampin' Up! re-inkers

Put a few drops of re-inker on the foam and pull the colour through the foam to create a marble effect.

Place your card in the foam, pressing down gently to ensure full coverage.

Scrape the foam off using a spatula or palette knife to reveal the beautiful pattern.
Keep mixing and experimenting to create even more unique patterns

I just realised as I took the photo that my card bottom right got damaged during class, sorry!

Quick heads up - don't miss out!

Hi all

Quick heads up before it's too late to order the 2014-2016 in-colours before they retire in June. I know it's only March but judging by the stock levels there are already lots of you ordering it. I would encourage you to order re-inkers and card stock if you already have the ink pads. Some of the collection is out of stock but will be re-ordered and it will be sent as soon as it's back in stock with no further shipping cost.

Just for you - a fun Stampin' Up! colour challenge

Hi all

I took part in a colour challenge this weekend on a team Facebook page. It's always exciting to see what my team mates come up with. My house and craft space was rather chaotic yesterday following a trip to Ikea we were having a big storage over haul but now there are piles of things to sort out after our de-clutter! That meant I was even more pleased that I still managed my card for the challenge!

I love the Botanicals For You stamp set and it's FREE!
It's part of the Sale-A-Bration offering which ends 31 March so time is running out!

Bloomin' Love

Hi all

I thought I'd share a couple of the projects we made at this months regular class.

They feature the gorgeous Bloomin' Love stamps and Bloomin' heart thinlits dies from the Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer catalogue.

You can buy the stamps and the dies at a special bundle price of £31.25 saving you a very healthy 15%! Click on the link at the bottom of this email and it will take you direct to my store where you can see the rest of the range and get additional info.

Watch the video here

I've seen so many beautiful projects made with this bundle but I wanted to keep the colour palette and the style simple for these cards which shows it's versatility brilliantly.
